Journey with us Around the Word in 80 Days! In the classic novel Around the World in 80 Days, Phileaus Fogg accepts a daring wager that he could travel around the world in 80 days.  As we focus on The Ministry of the Word this year, we'd like to accept the challenge to journey Around the WORD in 80 Days!

CHOOSE YOUR PLAN

We are encouraging everyone in our LCC Family to spend 15 minutes a day (at least five times a week) in God's Word for the next 80 days.  Select one of the following plans.

  • Continue your current plan

CHOOSE YOUR GROUP

We are in this together!  Choose your group (just one) from the list below.  Each week, we will ask you to report your personal number of reading times.  We will tally these times and report on each team's progress.  Your team does not need to work through the same plan together, but this is an opportunity for accountability and fellowship around God's Word.

  • Your Small Group - Journey through God's Word with your Small Group.
  • Prime Time - Journey together with those Age 55 and better
  • LCC YTH Boys or Girls - Journey together with your LCC YTH small group
  • LCC Men or Ladies - Journey as part of our men's or ladies group
  • LCC Families - Use this time as a family to journey together through family devotions.  Continue your current plan, pursue one of the above plans, work through our LCC Kids Old Story New devotional (available for free at check-in), or have your child journey with us and work through Exploring the Bible (available in the bookstore).

FAQ

  • Will I get credit if I use an audio version? Yes!
  • Will I be required to report weekly? Yes, this is how we will track progress for each team.
  • May I join more than one group? No, choose one that allows you to encourage others in their reading.
  • Does the group I choose need to work through the same plan? No. Pick the plan you want.
  • Does it matter which Bible translation I use? We'd recommend the ESV or another standard translation. Feel free to talk with one of the church leaders with any questions about the Bible translation you'd like to use.
  • What about devotionals? While devotionals are helpful, we'd like to encourage you to spend at least 15 minutes devoted to reading the Bible.
